About DiGS

The Diachronic Generative Syntax conference is an international meeting organized annually for linguists interested in syntactic change from a generative perspective. The conference has been a forum for the presentation and discussion of current research in formal diachronic syntax for more than 20 years. The first DiGS conference was held in 1990, and the conference alternates between venues in Europe and the American continent. In 2016, it will for the first time be held in Belgium, in Ghent.

The two coming editions of DiGS are in Stellenbosch (2017) and York (2018).

A full list of previous conferences and related contents can be found on George Walkden’s website.
